Ananias extra virgin olive oil with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Kalamata, comes from olive groves located in the area of Kalamata, in the Southern Peloponnese. This area is well known for the quality of its olive oil in Greece and abroad.

The main olive variety in this area is Koroneiki, a native of the Messinian land, as evidenced by its name, which means that it came from Koroni in Messinia.
